  • What are the age eligibility criteria to get covered under the Chola MS Healthline plan?

    Anyone falling between the age group of 18 years and 65 years is eligible to be covered under the plan. In addition to this, up to 4 children are covered from 90 days to 26 years.

  • I want to add my family members in this policy. Can I get them covered?

    Yes, it is possible to get a cover for the complete family under a single sum insured. The members can comprise proposer, spouse, dependent kids, dependent parents, parents-in-law, and siblings on an individual sum insured basis. Whereas, self, spouse, dependent kids are covered on a family floater basis. 

  • Does opinion for critical illness option offered under this policy?

    Yes, the Healthline provides an opinion for critical illness under its Privilege Healthline Plan up to the amount of Rs. 25,000.

  • Do I always need to get hospitalised to get a claim?

    Yes, as the plan doesn’t offer the coverage for out-patient expenses, therefore, policyholders are required to get hospitalised for making a claim. The out-patient expenses are covered only for specs, hearing aids, lenses and so on. 

  • For how long does the insured individual need to be hospitalised to seek claim?

    A policyholder is eligible to request a claim either on a cashless or on a reimbursement basis, only if he/she gets hospitalised for at least 24 hours. Only for daycare treatments, hospitalisation can be lesser than 24 hours. 

  • Does the policy own any co-payment feature?

    No, the Healthline plan doesn’t acquire any co-payment feature under it. 

  • Are pre and post hospitalisation costs covered under this policy?

    Yes, the plan covers pre and post hospitalisation expenses for up to 30 days before hospitalisation and up to 60 days from the date of discharge from the hospital.

  • Is there any health check-up coverage provided under the plan?

    The plan provides the coverage for health check-up once in 3 consecutive claim-free years.

  • Does the plan offer coverage for organ donor during a transplantation surgery?

    Yes, the policy covers the expenses related to organ donor for harvesting an organ during transplantation.
