A claim is the legal right of a policyholder as per the insurance policy. Documents required for cashless and reimbursement claims

- Policy Document
- RC Copy

1) Initiation of Claim
Get in touch with SBI General immediately and inform them about the accident and location. This will initiate the claim process. Alternatively, you also initiate the claim online post filling basic details: https://www.sbigeneral.in/SBIG/intimate-claim.
2) Confirmation of the process
Within 24 hours of registering the claim, the claim manager/executive will call you and provide a claim number/reference number. This also means that the company has accepted your claim request.
3) Registration of FIR
Lodging an FIR at the nearest police station is mandatory in case of grave injury to any person or theft of the vehicle. Also, explain about the accident (if asked) and furnish the details of witnesses (if any) to the company.
4) Service at workshop
Tow/drive your damaged car to the nearest cashless garage for repairs. SBI General has a network of more than 2500 garages for cashless claim settlement.You must also submit the required documents to the claims manager or executive and have them verified against the originals.
5) Sit and relax
SBI General would approve the claim amount once all documents and formalities have been completed.The repair costs are paid directly to the garage by the company, while you need to pay only your part of liabilities.

SBI No Claim Bonus
The SBI General Insurance rewards its policyholders with No Claim Bonus for not raising any car insurance claim in a policy year. The NCB is offered in terms of discount at the time of car insurance policy renewal and ranges between 20% to 50%. To get the NCB and accumulate it with every claim free year, you should renew your claim on time. If you are unable to renew your plan within the specified time, you may do so within 90 days of its expiry, which is known as the grace period; otherwise, your NCB benefit will become null and void.
The No Claim Bonus is unique in that it can be transferable.
