Do I Need a Hard Copy of SBI General Car Insurance Policy Document?

According to the Indian Motor Tariff, all the owners of the car need to hold car insurance documents at the time of driving a vehicle on the public roads in India. However, with the introduction of a new application known as e-VAHAN bima, a policyholder is not required to carry a hard copy of the policy document. An initiative by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India( IRDAI) in order to let the policyholders carry their insurance policy document through a digital means. Digital car insurance plan on e-VAHAN bima app can be accessed with the help of a QR code that carries all the crucial facts regarding the car insurance policy. However, in case an individual still needs a hard copy of their car insurance policy document, then they can download it from SBI general insurance company’s official website.

How to Get a Hard Copy of SBI General Car Insurance Policy?

Once the customer buys the car insurance policy by SBI General insurance company, the insured person can get their policy document sent easily at their registered address by the insurance company. In case, the policyholder has purchased the car insurance policy from via an online medium, then in such cases, they can get the hard copy of the document by going to the official website of the company and downloading it in the PDF format from there and then finally taking out the print out for the same.
