When you purchase a Reliance General car insurance policy and pay premiums on time, you become entitled to receive a claim after an accident. The claim amount depends on the degree and nature of damage/injury incurred to you, your vehicle and third-party.

Reliance General Insurance offers you a very simple claim settlement process. You can download the Reliance Self-i App to intimate claims instantly or can have live video chats with claim experts. It also enables the option to track the status of a claim in real-time.

How to Make Reliance Cashless Car Insurance Claim?

Reliance General Insurance offers a wide network where its policyholder can get their cars repaired without any expense.The process to make cashless claim is as follows:

1) Intimate the insurer

Reliance General Insurance offers a very convenient way to initiate a claim. Inform the company about the accident by calling the toll-free number 1800 3009 or via the Reliance Self-i App. You can have live video calls with claim experts and track claim status in real-time.

2) Repair of the car

Drive/tow your vehicle to the nearest authorized (by Reliance General Insurance) network garage for repairs. Alternatively, you can also request for a pick-up service from the company. After inspecting the damaged car, a surveyor arranged by the company will collect the necessary documents.

3) Submission of report

The surveyor will inspect your vehicle and submit the report to the insurance company. Reliance General will then confirm its liability and will inform the policyholder about the deductibles.

4) Settlement of claim

Reliance General has a wide network of over 6,200 cashless garages and offers you 24x7 roadside assistance. If your car is repaired at one of these cashless garages, you only have to pay your share of the liabilities. The rest will be paid directly to the garage by the insurance company.

Reliance General Insurance offers a wide network where its policyholder can get their cars repaired without any expense.The process to make reimbursement claim is as follows:

If the car is repaired anywhere other than a Reliance General-approved garage, the policyholder is responsible for the entire price and must submit receipts to the company for reimbursement. After deducting the deductibles, Reliance General will reimburse the repair bills.

Here is the list of documents required for cashless and reimbursement claims:

  • Policy number
  • Period of insurance
  • Previous Insurance Details
  • Original Certificate/Vehicle Policy Document
  • Any other document as required by the insurer
  • All the sets of keys/service booklets/Warranty card
  • Police Panchanama / FIR and final investigation report/JMFC report
  • Acknowledged copy of letter address to RTO intimating theft and making vehicle "NON-USE"
  • Original Registration Book, with theft endorsement from concerned RTO, and tax payment receipt.

Reliance No Claim Bonus

Apart from offering a wide range of car insurance plans, Reliance General Insurance also provides some benefits to make its policies extremely affordable with several discounts like No Claim Bonus. The NCB is a reward offered by insurance companies to policyholders who have not filed any claims in the previous insurance period.It can be achieved only with safe and responsible driving due to which policyholders are rewarded with NCB which is offered in terms of discount that can decrease your payable premium by a good margin.A discount of up to 50% can be obtained by collecting No Claim Bonus over the years, which can vary from 20% to 50% depending on how many consecutive claim-free years you had.

Every policyholder should be aware that the No Claim Bonus is only applicable to standalone own-damage and comprehensive car insurance policies. If you want to keep your NCB benefits for years, you must renew your car insurance policy on time every year, or it will be terminated.One feature of this NCB benefit is that it is transferable as it is provided to the policyholder, not to insured cars.
