Do I Require a Hard Copy of My Oriental Bike Insurance Policy Document?

It is compulsory for every two-wheeler to have at least a third party insurance according to the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. Those caught without this insurance can be punished with a fine of Rs 2000 and/or imprisonment for up to 3 months. Thus, it is crucial to be able to show your two-wheeler insurance at the time of checking and hence, carry a hard copy of the document. However, recently the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has launched an application that allows riders to travel without a hard copy, With the e-VAHAN Bima application, it is now possible to carry all your documents in soft copy form and use a QR Code to scan it credentials.

How to Get a Hard Copy of Oriental Bike Insurance Policy?

If you purchase an insurance policy from Oriental they will send you a hard copy of the insurance document to your registered permanent address within a few days of the purchase. However, if you purchase the insurance online, they will send you a copy of your policy document to your registered email id immediately. If you require a hard copy you can simply download this and print it out. However, if you have misplaced this copy the above-mentioned steps will guide you through the process of issuing a second one. If the insurance policy was purchased offline, however, the process is a bit more complicated and time-consuming. It is best to contact the insurance provider’s customer service to understand the exact procedure of getting a duplicate copy.

How Can I Make Changes In My Oriental Bike Insurance Policy Document?
