To be able to choose the right Cancer health insurance plan in India is as important as getting one. Cancer treatment is expensive and has the potential to dig a big hole in your pocket if you miss out on the right health insurance plan for the same. For which, Star Health brings to you a plan especially designed for cancer i.e. Cancer Care Gold. Cancer Care Gold is a pilot plan, which is launched on a test basis for a period of 5 years. But don’t worry! Because after the closure date, if the product is found viable, it will be continued as a regular product. And even if not, you will be offered a suitable alternative product by the insurer. Available for a tenure of one year, the plan will be renewable thereon.

The policy covers a major section of the society by keeping the minimum entry age as low as 5 months and maximum entry age as 65 years. Anyone who has already been diagnosed with Stage 1 or Stage 2 can purchase the plan. You are advised to choose appropriately from the sum insured options of Rs. 3 Lakh and Rs. 5 Lakh as no further changes are entertained. The sum insured options are divided into 3 sections, one of which is covered as a lump sum (when there is recurrence/metastasis and/or second cancer) and the other two are covered as indemnity, based on types of treatments (surgical/interventional and non-surgical/non-interventional therapy). The plan allows you to cover self, spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents too.
