  • What is the portability feature under TATA AIG MediPlus plan?

    This plan can be ported to any other insurance provider. However, TATA AIG must be notified at least 45 days before the premium renewal date of the existing policy.

  • What is the waiting period for pre-existing diseases under TATA AIG MediPlus plan?

    Pre-existing diseases under TATA AIG MediPlus plan are covered after a waiting period of 48 months.

  • Is there any feature of premium risk loading under TATA AIG MediPlus plan?

    The premium risk loading feature may be levied depending on the declarations made in the proposal form and the health status of the proposer. The maximum risk loading can be 150% per person. The policy will be issued only after getting consent in case of risk loading. 

  • What is the minimum and maximum entry age for TATA AIG MediPlus plan?

    The minimum entry age for adults for TATA AIG MediPlus plan is 18 years and maximum entry age is 65 years.

    There is no exit age for MediPlus plan. The plan comes with lifelong renewability option.

    You get a family discount of 10% if 2 or more members of the family are covered under the single plan. You can also avail an additional discount of 7.5% by paying the premium of 2 years in advance.

    Children between 91 days to 5 years can be insured under the MediPlus policy provided either of the parent is insured under the policy.

  • How many members can be included in a single TATA AIG MediPlus plan?

    Maximum of 7 members can be included in a single policy. You can insure yourself, your spouse, up to 3 dependent children (aged between 91 days to 21 years, if unmarried) and your dependent parents.

  • Is pre-insurance medical examination compulsory under this plan and is the cost reimbursed by the company?

    Pre-policy checkup is compulsory under this plan. 50% of the expenses incurred per insured person is reimbursed on the acceptance of the proposal.

  • What is the general waiting period under the TATA AIG MediPlus plan?

    The policy coverage starts 30 days from the 1st inception of the policy, except in case of an accident. Any listed illness/disease is covered after a waiting period of 24 months.
