  • Is pre-acceptance medical check-up required for buying the policy?

    No, there is no requirement of any pre-acceptance medical check-ups for buying the policy. 

  • What is the coverage tenure?

    The policy’s coverage tenure is 1 year after which the policyholder is required to renew the policy for continuous coverage benefits.

  • At what age can the policy be bought?

    The policy can be bought for individuals who are aged 18 years or more. The maximum entry age, however, is restricted to 65 years.

  • Is lifelong renewal allowed under the plan?

    Yes, the plan can be renewed lifelong without any maximum coverage age.

  • Will the policy continue after the payment of claim?

    No, once a claim has been paid under the policy, the coverage would terminate. No further claims would be provided even if the insured suffers from another covered illness or undergoes another covered surgery.

  • What is the waiting period for coverage of critical illnesses?

    Critical illnesses are covered after an initial waiting period of 90 days which is counted from the date of commencement of risk under the plan.

  • Does the policy have any co-payment clause?

    No, the policy does not have any co-payment clause. The full sum insured is paid if the insured suffers from any of the covered illnesses or undergoes any covered treatments.

  • Does the policy have any provisions for grace period for renewals?

    Yes, a grace period of 30 days is allowed for policyholders to renew the policy beyond the coverage expiry date. If the policy is renewed within the grace period, the coverage would continue without any break.

  • What is the meaning of free-look cancellation?

    Free-look cancellation means cancelling the plan after buying it. The policy allows policyholders a free-look period of 15 days from the date of issuance of the policy. During this period of 15 days the policyholder can choose to discontinue the policy and get the premium refunded.

  • How to make a claim under the plan?

    In case of a claim, the policyholder should contact the insurance company immediately. The company’s representatives would then guide the policyholder about how to go about making a valid claim under the plan.
