  • Who all can be covered under this policy?

    You and your entire family can be covered under this policy. The policy covers self, spouse, dependent children and dependent parents.

  • Is pre-acceptance medical checkup necessary to purchase this policy?

    A pre-acceptance medical checkup is necessary for all the members entering after the age of 50 years or anyone who is having an adverse medical condition.

  • What is the age limit for renewal of this policy?

    The policy is available with lifelong renewability option.

  • What is the hospital cash benefit available under this plan?

    In case the hospitalisation exceeds 24 hours a day, the hospital cash benefit under Plan A is Rs. 2000 per day and under Plan B it is Rs. 4000 per day.

  • What is the critical care benefit offered under this policy?

    If during the policy period, the insured person is diagnosed with any of the listed critical illness, then the person is liable for critical care benefit. Under this benefit, for Plan A, the insured will receive Rs. 2 Lakh, and for Plan B, the insured will receive Rs. 5 Lakh, as an additional benefit, which is over and above the sum insured.

  • Does this policy provide cover for maternity and newborn?

    Yes, the coverage for maternity and childcare available under the New India Premier Mediclaim Policy.

  • What is New India baby cover?

    This policy offers cover for newborn baby from any illness or injury from the date of birth until the expiry of this policy. However, no coverage is available for newborn baby on subsequent renewals unless and until the baby is insured.

  • Does this policy provide cover for AIDS/HIV?

    Yes, this policy offers cover for treatment of sexually transmitted diseases subject to a limit of Rs. 2 Lakh for Plan A and Rs. 5 Lakh for Plan B.

  • Is infertility treatment expenses covered under this plan?

    Yes, the treatment expenses for infertility are covered under this plan subject to a limit of Rs. 1 Lakh under Plan A and Rs. 2 Lakh under Plan B.

  • What are the maximum charges for cataract paid under this policy?

    Expenses for cataract surgery is paid as per the following limits:
    For Plan A, actual charges, maximum of Rs. 75,000
    For Plan B, actual charges, maximum of Rs. 1,00,000
