New India Cancer Plans

Key Features

• The policy is valid for 12 months
• The policy is available for the members of the Indian Cancer Society
• The policy covers all medical/surgical treatment taken in India
• The limit of indemnity is restricted to the Sum Insured
• The sum insured is available in multiple of Rs. 50,000 to a maximum of Rs. 2 Lakh
• 5% cumulative bonus for each claim-free year up to a maximum of 50%
• Reimbursement is made on a quarterly basis

Scope of Coverage

• Coverage available for the insured members and his/her spouse
• Expenses incurred on diagnosis, radiotherapy, biopsy, surgery, chemotherapy
• Cover for hospitalisation and rehabilitation up to the sum insured
• Add-on benefits like free check-up for cancer only and subsequent check-up at 50% discounts
• Coverage for room and boarding charges and registration and admission fees
• Extended cover for two dependent children on payment of additional premium
• Charges for blood, anaesthesia, oxygen, OT, surgical appliances, etc.

Eligibility

Those below 70 years of age with no cancer disease and has a membership of the Indian Cancer Society can own this policy.

Exclusions

• Expenses on tonics and vitamins unless certified by the attending physician
• Treatment of cancer within 3 months from the inception of the policy
• Any injury caused by nuclear weapons or radiation from any source
• Injury or disease directly or indirectly arising from invasion, war, etc.
• A claim filed fraudulently or supported by any fraudulent means
