A car insurance policy document is the formal contract which legally binds the insurance provider and the insured person. Step 1: Visit the official website of National Insurance Company. Go to the customer portal.

Step 2: In case an individual is not registered, then get it registered by giving policy number, contact number, name, etc.

Step 3: After a person is registered, an email ID and password will get generated to them.

Step 4: Login using the password and request for policy download.

Step 5: The policy document is emailed to the individual at their registered email id from where they can download it.

Do I need a Hard Copy of National Car Insurance Policy Document?

The hard copy of the car insurance policy document acts as legal proof of insurance. However, with the onset of technology, carrying insurance policies digitally is heavily promoted. In order to digitize the insurance plans, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has launched e-VAHAN Bima app. It allows the policyholder to carry their insurance policy document as a soft copy eliminating the need to carry an original document. The digital insurance plan consists of a QR code, wherein all the crucial information is stored.

How to Get a Hard Copy of National Car Insurance Policy?

The car insurance policy document gets dispatched by the National Insurance Company to the registered address of the policy buyer once the policy buying process is done. However, in case it is not sent or the policy purchase process is done online by the customer, in that scenario, the hard copy National Car insurance policy document can be downloaded from the official website of the company by mentioning details such as policy number, email ID, contact details etc. The car insurance policy document can be downloaded in the PDF format and you can take the print out for the same in order to utilize it as a hard copy.
