Claim settlement with Digit is very simple. You have the option to either take your car for repair to a cashless garage or any other garage of your choice. Both of these approaches have different processes.
1. Cashless Claim Settlement Process
Cashless garages are the ones that have ties with Digit. Digit has more than 6,000 cashless garages all over India. In this process, you either take your car to the nearest cashless garage or ask Digit to arrange a pickup. You will not need to pay any amount for any service, part or repair that is mentioned in your policy document as the insurer will pay directly to the garage.
2. Reimbursement Claim Settlement Process
The reimbursement process allows you to get your car repaired at a garage of your choice which is not tied up with Digit. In this process, you need to get your car repaired by paying from your pocket and Digit later reimburses you after you submit the required documents. Note that the payment will be only for the details mentioned in the policy document.

How to File a Digit Car Insurance Claim?
There are various steps that need to be followed on the basis of circumstances. The most common claim settlement processes are:
Third-party claim
In case you have injured someone or damaged their property by your car, you are liable to pay compensation which is covered by your third-party liability policy. Follow the given steps:
- The third-party must file an FIR at the nearest police station.
- Share your policy details with the third-party so they can contact your insurer.
- Intimate Digit and tell them about the incident in detail.
- Digit will appoint a surveyor who will review and examine your case.
- The case will then be transferred to the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) where the compensation amount will be declared and then Digit will settle the claim.
Cases of Theft
In case your car gets stolen, follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Lodge an FIR with the police.
- Intimate Digit about the theft.
- Police will first try to trace your car. If they are unable to track, they will issue a non-traceable certificate. Submit it to Digit to get the claim for your car.
Claim Process of Digit Car Insurance

- Self Inspection: You will receive a link on your registered mobile number to complete the self-inspection process.

Digit No Claim Bonus
NCB or No Claim Bonus is a reward for claimless policy tenure. NCB is applied on the next premium. The discount increases for consecutive claim free policies. The discount only applies to the own damage portion of the premium.
Details
- No claim bonus can be easily transferred in case you plan to change your insurer.
- The maximum NCB you can get is 50% of your Own Damage premium, which you get after 5 years of insurance without taking any claim.
- In case you change your car, NCB is transferable provided the new car belongs to the same class (as per the tariff) as the old car.

Limitations
