Universal Sompo Corona Rakshak Health Insurance

Universal Sompo Corona Rakshak Policy is a standard benefit-based medical insurance plan available for Indian citizens. It provides you a lump sum benefit equal to 100% of sum insured in case of a positive diagnosis of COVID-19. Note that the benefit can be availed only if the hospitalisation takes place for at least 72 hours and if the diagnosis is done at a center recognised by the government of India. Available on an individual basis, the policy can cover people aged between 18 years and 65 years respectively. As a Proposer, you can also add other adult family members too without covering self. The policy extends cover for sum insured options between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 2.5 lakh (in multiples of Rs. 50,000).

Universal Sompo Corona Rakshak Policy is a short term policy and hence can not be renewed. Also, the policy will get terminated in case a claim is made. It is available for short terms of 3.5 months (105 days), 6.5 months (195), and 9.5 months (285 days). To avail of the policy benefits, you will be required to complete a waiting period of 15 days.
