  • What benefits are covered under the in-patient hospitalisation feature of this policy?

    United India Corona Kavach Health Insurance Policy provides in-patient coverage on being hospitalised for at least 24 hours in a hospital for the treatment of Covid-19. The benefits covered under this coverage includes:

    • Room rent, boarding, and nursing costs as provided by the hospital or nursing home 
    • Expenses incurred on Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU)
    • Fees of surgeon, medical practitioner, consultant, and specialist available at the hospital 
    • Charges of anaesthesia, blood, oxygen, operation theatre charges, ventilator costs, medicines and drugs bills, diagnostic costs, PPE kit, gloves, mask and such similar other expenses 
    • Emergency road ambulance expense subject to a maximum of Rs. 2,000 per hospitalisation
  • Is there any waiting period applicable under this United India Corona Kavach Policy?

    Yes, United India Corona Kavach Plan is available with a waiting period of 15 days from the date of policy commencement. Policyholders get eligible to avail the benefits of this cover only after the completion of the waiting period.

  • Does this health insurance policy offer any tax benefits to its policyholders?

    Yes, the policyholders of this United India Corona Kavach Policy can get the tax waivers equal to its premium amount. These tax benefits are available under the section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
