About United India Corona Kavach Health Insurance

The United India Corona Kavach Health Insurance Plan is a great help to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This cover is equipped with wide coverage and helpful benefits to getting you quality treatment and medical care without paying a penny. This is a standard insurance policy that offers multiple sum insured options ranging between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 5 Lakh (in the multiples of 50,000). You can buy this cover either on an individual or family floater basis to cover your spouse, children, parents, and parents-in-law along with yourself.

People from the age of 18 years to 65 years can purchase this plan but can cover their family members from 1 day to 65 years of age. This cover is available with different policy terms like 3.5 months i.e., 105 days, 6 months i.e., 195 days, and 9.5 months i.e., 285 days, including the waiting period of 15 days. It gives several benefits to insured persons which comprise in-patient hospitalisation expenses, pre-hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation costs, AYUSH procedures, home care treatments, etc, with an optional benefit of hospital daily cash.

    • Expenses incurred on Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU)
    • Fees of surgeon, medical practitioner, consultant, and specialist available at the hospital 
    • Charges of anaesthesia, blood, oxygen, operation theatre charges, ventilator costs, medicines and drugs bills, diagnostic costs, PPE kit, gloves, mask and such similar other expenses 
    • Emergency road ambulance expense subject to a maximum of Rs. 2,000 per hospitalisation
