  • What are the sum insured options available under this top-up policy by New India Assurance?

    The Sum Insured options available under this policy range from Rs. 5 Lakh to Rs. 22 Lakh. 

  • What is the tenure of this top-up policy provided by New India Assurance?

    This policy is available for a period of 1 year from the date of inception. 

  • What is the age criteria for New India Top-up Mediclaim Policy?

    The minimum and maximum age of entry to this plan are 18 years and 65 years respectively. However, children aged at least 3 months can also be covered under it. 

  • Are AYUSH treatments covered under this top-up policy?

    Yes. The expenses pertaining to AYUSH treatments are covered if undergone at a government hospital or any institution that is recognised by the government or is accredited by the National Accreditation Board on Health/ Quality Council of India.

  • Are treatments undergone outside India covered under this policy?

    No. Treatments undergone only in India are covered under this policy. 

  • Is pre-acceptance medical check-up required under this policy?

    Pre-acceptance medical check-ups are required for individuals aged more than 50 years with an adverse claim history. However, if any person aged over 50 years is covered under a health insurance policy by New India Assurance and has not registered any claim in the past 2 years, then the pre-acceptance medical health check-up is not required.

  • Are ambulance expenses covered under this policy?

    Yes. Ambulance expenses are covered under this policy subject to a maximum limit of Rs. 5,000 per day for a deductible of Rs. 5 Lakh and Rs. 8,000 per day for a deductible of Rs. 8 Lakh. It is paid for any one illness.  

  • Is there any discount offered to the policyholders under this plan?

    Yes. A family discount of 5% is provided to the policyholders if 2 family members are included in the same policy on an individual basis Sum Insured. Whereas, a family discount of 10% is provided if 3 or more family members are covered under the same policy on the basis of individual Sum Insured. 

  • Who all can be covered under this top-up policy by New India Assurance?

    The Proposer can include Self, Spouse, Dependent Children and Dependent Parents under this policy. 

  • Are daycare treatments covered under this top-up plan?

    Yes. Daycare treatments like chemotherapy, eye surgery, etc. are covered under this policy.
