This policy works as a super top-up, stepping in when your overall medical expenses go beyond a certain limit for an individual or the entire family.

Talking about its extensive coverage, the National Super Top-Up Mediclaim policy takes care of your basic health needs, including daycare treatments, in-patient hospitalisation, pre and post-hospitalisation expenses, and treatments in allopathy, ayurveda, and homeopathy. National health insurance policy also covers organ donor expenses, ambulance charges, bariatric surgery, and maternity expenses.

You are eligible for this policy if you are between 18 and 65 years old. Also, the policy offers various sum insured options ranging from Rs. 3 Lakh to Rs. 20 Lakh, with deductibles between Rs. 2 Lakh and Rs. 10 Lakh.

Please note that, if you buy it individually, the threshold and sum insured apply individually to each person. If bought as a family floater, the limits apply to the entire family.

    • After 36 months: 100% of the admissible claim
  • Treatments for changing gender, cosmetic or plastic surgery, and services from excluded providers are not covered.
  • Claims related to vitamins, tonics, drug/alcohol abuse, self-inflicted injuries, non-prescription drugs, home visit charges, dental treatment (unless due to an accident requiring hospitalisation), and outpatient department treatment (OPD treatment) are excluded.

  • Can I cancel my National Super Top-up Mediclaim Policy? Will I get a premium refund if I cancel it?

    Yes. You can cancel your National Super Top-up Mediclaim Policy by giving a 15 days written notice. In this case, the company shall refund premium for the unexpired policy period as mentioned below:

    • If the period of risk is up to 1 month, then the premium will be charged ¼ of the annual rate
    • If the period of risk is up to 3 months, then the premium will be charged ½ of the annual rate
    • If the period of risk is up to 6 months, then the premium will be charged ¾ of the annual rate
    • If the period of risk is exceeding 6 months, then the premium will be charged for full annual rate.
