Liberty Car Insurance Add-on Covers

Add-on covers are additional policy covers offered by Liberty General Insurance along with the standard comprehensive car insurance policy. They offer extra or enhanced protection for your car against an extra premium. Liberty General Insurance provides a range of such covers so that the insured can customise his policy as per own preference.

Liberty - 9 Important Add-on Covers For Your Car Insurance Policy

1. Depreciation Cover

Depreciation, as known to us, reduces the value of a vehicle over time. This equally affects the claim amount, in which, the insurer factors the cost of depreciation of the replaced parts from the sanctioned sum. A depreciation cover from Liberty General Insurance wavies off the liability of bearing depreciation cost from the claim amount.

2. Consumables Cover

This add-on covers consumable elements such as grease, lubricants clip, air conditioner’s gas, bearings, engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, break oil, nut and bolt, screw, washers, etc, which are not covered in the standard policy.

3. GAP Value Cover

Having this add-on cover with the standard insurance policy will allow the policyholder to get the complete invoice price of the vehicle in an event of theft, Total Loss or Constructive Total Loss. It also covers the Road Tax and first time registration charges against an additional premium.

4. Roadside Assistance Cover

This add-on cover secures assistance services in an event of the breakdown of the insured vehicle. The services include towing to the nearest garage, on-site repair services, assistance in case of loss of keys, changing flat tyres, fuel delivery, etc.

5. Passenger Assistance Cover

It is bundled cover which includes Hospital Allowance, Medical Expenses and Medical Transport Assistance to the policyholder after an accident.

6. Key Loss Cover

This add-on cover makes the insurance company liable to compensate the policyholder for the loss of keys.

7. Engine Safe Cover

This cover allows the policyholder to get indemnifies against expenses for mechanical/electrical breakdown of the engine due to an oil spill or water ingression.

8. Loss of Personal Belongings

This add-on cover makes the company liable to compensate the policyholder for the loss of personal belongings such as the articles or other items of personal nature which are likely to be used, carried or worn.

9. Daily Allowance

Liberty General Insurance will pay a daily allowance to the policyholder when the car is lost or is out for repairs. The amount of allowance depends on the premium paid and it will continue for 10 days in case of partial damage and 20 days in case of Total Loss or theft.
