About Bharti AXA Smart Health High Deductible Health Insurance

Smart Health High Deductible Insurance Policy is an indemnity-based medical insurance policy that offers cover for hospitalisation expenses arising due to treatment of illness/sickness/injury/disease. Under the policy, you can choose from sum insured options of Rs. 3 Lakh, Rs. 4 Lakh, Rs. 5 Lakh, Rs. 6 Lakh, Rs. 7 Lakh, Rs. 8 Lakh, Rs. 10 Lakh and deductible options of Rs. 1 Lakh, Rs. 3 Lakh, and Rs. 3 Lakh. Subject to the deductibles chosen, the policy covers you for in-patient hospitalisation expenses including room, boarding, and OT expenses, fees of Surgeon/Nurses/Specialists/Anesthetist, cost of diagnostic tests, blood, oxygen, medicines, appliances like a pacemaker and artificial limbs, etc.

If you want to be covered under this policy, you must be aged between 91 days and 65 years. Note that children aged below 5 years can only be covered if either or both the parents are covered under the policy. The policy can be issued to an individual and/or family as a family floater policy. In a family, you can cover a self, spouse, up to 2 dependent children aged up to 23 years. Apart from the ones mentioned above, the policy covers you for pre-hospitalisation expenses, post-hospitalisation expenses, ambulance expenses, accompanying person’s expenses, organ transplantation expenses, etc. It is an annual policy that can be purchased for 1 year, after which only renewals are allowed.
