  • What are the sum insured options available under this Happy Cash Plan?

    The policy provides 4 options of daily cash benefit such as Rs. 500, Rs. 1000, Rs. 2000, and Rs. 3000. 

  • Does this plan offer any discount to its policyholders?

    Yes, different types of discounts are offered under this Happy Cash Plan which are as follows:
    a. Family discount of 5% on the premium is offered if two members are covered and 7.5% is given if more than 2 members are covered.
    b. Loyalty discount of 10% in premium is available for people who during the inception of this policy are covered under Oriental’s health insurance policy (retail or bank-tie-up).
    c. Staff discount of 33% on the premium is available to the employees of Oriental Insurance Company Ltd.
    d. TPA discount - 5.5% of discount is given if TPA services are not opted for.

  • What is the daily cash benefit offered for females under this plan?

    Generally, different insured persons, under a policy, may opt for different Daily Cash Benefits such as Rs. 500, Rs. 1000, Rs. 2000, and Rs. 3000. For females, this Daily Cash Benefit automatically gets increased by 25% without any extra premium.

  • What are the deductible options available under this Happy Cash Plan?

    The Policy provides 3 options of deductible - no deductible, 1 day & 2 days deductible. The deductible is applicable per event.

  • Does Happy Cash Policy offer the Free Look Period for policyholders?

    Yes, this policy gives a free look period to its customers. The free look period is applicable at the inception of the fresh policy and the insured will be allowed a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy to review the terms and conditions of the policy and to return the insurance plan if not acceptable.

  • Can I make any changes in the selected benefits?

    Yes, the Daily Cash Benefit, the Daily Cash Benefit period and Deductible under the health insurance policy can be changed only at the time of renewal and at the discretion of the company.

  • What is the process to make the claim request under this Happy Cash Plan?

    Required documents along with duly filled claim form should be submitted to the Company or TPA within 15 days of discharge from the Hospital or Nursing Home.

  • What are the documents required to be produced during the claim settlement process?

    Here are the documents that are needed to be attached during the claim settlement procedure:

    • Discharge certificate from the hospital
    • MLC or FIR or Post Mortem report, if applicable
    • Details of previous policies, if not available with TPA
    • Medical history of the patient recorded by the hospital
    • Documents related to doctor’s consultation reports or history
    • Pathological and other test reports from a pathologist or radiologist
    • Certificates from consultants, anaesthetists or specialist regarding diagnosis
  • Is there any availability of portability option under this policy?

    Yes, the portability option is available under this Happy Cash Plan.

  • Can I earn tax benefits by purchasing this health insurance plan?

    Yes, you can earn tax benefit under section 80D of the IT Act on the premiums paid.
