Benefits under LIC Arogya Rakshak
- Hospital Cash Benefit: If an insured person or his family member covered under the plan get hospitalised for an emergency illness/accidental injury for more than 24 hours, LIC health insurance Co. pays them a certain pre-decided Applicable Daily Benefit amount on the expenses incurred once the time of hospitalisation exceeds 24 hrs
- Day Care Procedure Benefit: This is a lump sum amount 5 times the Applicable Daily Benefit amount which is paid to an insured policyholder who undergoes a Day Care procedure regardless of the actual medical costs incurred subject to T&C of the policy
- Surgical Benefit: If the surgical procedure undertaken by an insured person is not listed under Day Care and Major Surgical procedure leading to hospitalisation which exceeds 24 hour period, then you will be accorded an amount which is two times the Applicable Daily Benefit amount subject to T&C of the policy
- Ambulance Service: Insured individual gets cover on the costs incurred on ambulance transport availed during hospitalisation amid a major surgery
- Premium Waiver Benefit: In the event of a major surgery for which the insured policyholder has received Major Surgical Benefit, they can avail a Premium Waiver Benefit too in which they get a complete one year waiver of their premium amount commencing from the date of the surgery
- No Claim Benefit: If the insured policyholder does not file for a claim within a policy year or between two auto renewal dates, he/she will be eligible for a No Claim Benefit wherein the No Claim Benefit amount would be 5% of the initial daily benefit for each insured person
- Tax Waiver: Insured policyholder who’re normal citizens are entitled to tax exemption for premium worth Rs 25000 while senior citizens get tax relief on 50,000 under section 80D of Income Tax Act
