Kotak Mahindra General Insurance Targets 25% Business from Health Insurance in FY18
Kotak Mahindra General Insurance, despite being the newbie in the field of non-life insurance has already marked its strong presence with health and motor health insurance products. In the financial year 2018, the company aimed to increase its business from health insurance while entering the commercial lines of business.
During his first media interaction, Mahesh Balasubramanian, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kotak General Insurance said that the company looks forward to entering into the commercial business including home, fire, and burglary. Talking about company’s business strategies for FY18, he stated that the company, within 12 months of launch has tied up with Equitas Small Finance Bank and Suryoday Finance Bank other than Kotak Mahindra Bank, its distribution channel. Furthermore, the company is looking at health & wellness and is filing products that include wellness as a proposition.
Kotak Mahindra General Insurance is a 100% subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. The company offers a vast array of customer segment & geographies, providing a broad range of non-life insurance products such as health, motor, etc.
