Any health related supplements such as protein shakes and health tonics, which is not consumed by a person in order to counter any illness is not covered under a health insurance plan. However, in case these supplements are suggested by any doctor or medical practitioner during the hospitalisation as a part of treatment, only then it can be covered under a health plan. -
Illness due to Overconsumption of Intoxicating Substance
In case, any disease is tracked because of overconsumption of intoxicating substances like alcohol, then your insurance provider has the complete right to reject the claim raised under your health insurance plan. -
Expenses due to Alternate Treatment
Any expenses incurred by a policyholder on alternative treatments or therapies such as acupressure, acupuncture, naturopathy, reflexology, etc are not covered under health insurance plan.
