India’s Improved Covid-19 Recovery Rate Is 93.94%
The month of December has brought a major drop in the number of fresh Covid-19 cases. Currently, the tally of coronavirus cases in India is 94.6 lakh. However, the country’s Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 93.94% from 90% in October, 2020.
As of 1st December, 2020, Maharashtra has the maximum number of cases standing at over 18 lakh, followed by Karnataka which has more than 8 lakh active cases. The National Capital of Delhi has recorded 3,726 fresh cases of Covid-19, the lowest in a span of 15 days.
The number of coronavirus cases in India may have experienced a significant drop, but people are still waiting for Covid-19 vaccine to make the whole situation even better. As of now, clinical trials for Covid-19 vaccine are still going on in the country. Addressing the availability of coronavirus vaccine, Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII), the Covid-19 vaccine company and world-renowned manufacturer of immunobiological drugs, assured that the vaccine would only be released for the masses after it has been proven immunogenic and safe. According to Adar Poonawalla, CEO, Serum Institute of India, the vaccine should be available for the public by April 2021.
