Who Can be Covered Under Arogya Sanjeevani Policy?
No one plans to get hurt or sick but most people require medical assistance at some point or the other in their lives. Health insurance plans cover these costs and offer several other benefits to the insured. One such health insurance policy is the Aarogya Sanjeevani Policy, which protects you from unexpected, high medical expenses.
What is Arogya Sanjeevani's Policy?

Not only does the policy provide a wide range of coverage at affordable premiums, but the terms and conditions are also standard (common policy wordings) across all health insurance companies.
The indemnity-based health insurance policy, i.e. Arogya Sanjeevani Policy, is universal for all insurance companies and offers cover to individuals and families up to a sum insured of Rs. 5 lakh. As per the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), all insurance companies must offer a policy with standard features.
The policy covers the insured for several benefits. These include cover for nursing, boarding, room rent expenses, pre-hospitalisation expenses, post-hospitalisation expenses, in-patient hospitalisation expenses, ambulance expenses, modern treatments, AYUSH treatments, etc.
But the question is who can buy Arogya Sanjeevani's Policy?
Anyone who is aged between 18 years and 65 years can avail of the benefits under Arogya Sanjeevani Policy. As said before, it is recommended for the people buying health insurance for the first time, to go for the Arogya Sanjeevani Policy. Note that you must be a resident of India to be able to buy the policy.
There are two types of plans that come under the Arogya Sanjeevani Policy. These are:
