Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance DigiShield Plan Benefits

Following are the benefits offered under ABSLI DigiShield plan:

1. Death Benefit: ABSLI DigiShield plan offers a death benefit in case of an unforeseen demise of the life assured during the policy term. For plan options Level Cover, Increasing Cover, Sum Assured Reduction, Whole Life (Level Cover), Whole Life (Sum Assured Reduction), Low Cover, Level Cover With Survival Benefit and Return of Premium, the sum assured will be paid in lump sum upon the unforeseen demise of life assured. For plan option Income Benefit will be paid as monthly instalments (1.25% of the sum assured) during the policy term, the first payment will be made after the date of demise. For plan option Level Cover Plus Income Benefit the death benefit will be paid as lump sum plus monthly instalments paid over 10 years.

2. Terminal Illness Benefit: This plan has an inbuilt terminal illness cover under which 50% of the sum assured will be paid on death and a maximum of INR 2 crore, will be paid as a lump sum if the life assured is diagnosed with a terminal illness during the policy term given the policy is still in force.

3. Accelerated Critical Illness Benefit: If the life assured has opted for this benefit and is diagnosed with a listed critical illness he/she will be paid a sum assured for treatment of the diagnosed illness.

4. Multiple Plan Options: ABSLI DigiShield plan offers the flexibility to customise the plan according to one’s requirements. One can choose from 10 plan options which are Level Cover, Increasing Cover, Sum Assured Reduction, Whole Life (Level Cover), Whole Life (Sum Assured Reduction), Income Benefit, Level Cover Plus Income Benefit, Low Cover, Level Cover With Survival Benefit and Return of Premium.

5. Joint Life Cover: Under this plan you get the option to add your spouse under the same insurance policy to safeguard their future.
