  • What are the sum insured and deductible options available under this my: Health Medisure Super Top Up Insurance Policy?

    The my: Health Medisure Super Top Up Insurance Policy offers the sum insured options on an individual and family floater basis. The SI ranges between Rs. 3 Lakh to Rs. 20 Lakh while the deducible ranges from Rs. 2 Lakh to Rs. 5 Lakh.

  • What are the entry and exit age applicable under this plan?

    With this policy, one can be insured from the age of 18 years to 65 years. You can insure your children from the age of 91 days to the age of 23 years. 

  • What are the relations that can get the coverage under this top-up policy?

    The plan allows the coverage for many relations such as a spouse, children, dependent parents, dependent parents-in-law, sister, brother, grandparents, grandchild, son and daughter-in-law, nephew and niece.

  • Do I need to go through any medical test to enter my: Health Medisure Super Top Up Insurance Policy?

    No, you are not required to undergo any medical tests up to the age of 55 years, except if you have declared any pre-existing diseases or ailments at the time of applying for the policy.

  • Does this top-up health insurance plan offer lifetime renewability?

    Yes, you can renew your policy throughout your lifetime, provided we have received your application for renewal and the renewal premium before the due date or within a maximum of 30 days from such date. No claims will be payable during this gap period of 30 days. 

  • Is there any discount offered for purchasing a policy for the long term?

    Yes, if you buy a policy for a continuous period of 2 years, you can avail a 5% discount on the total premium amount. 

  • What are expenses covered under the in-patient hospitalisation feature?

    If any of your treatment of an illness or accidental injury is undertaken in a hospital, we cover the medical expenses incurred by you towards your hospitalisation on room rent or on ICU or therapeutic unit, medical practitioner fees, anaesthetist fees, nurse fees, blood, oxygen and anaesthesia.

  • When can my expenses incurred on pre-existing diseases get covered?

    The policy covers expenses incurred for the treatment of diseases that you have before taking the policy will be covered only after 3 continuous renewals.

  • How can I cancel my: Health Medisure Super Top Up Insurance Policy?

    In case you wish to cancel this plan, you may intimate us by giving 15 days notice in writing, and we will refund the premium for the unexpired term as per the short period scale specified under the plan. If cancellation is done before completion of 1 year under 2 year policy, the same grid as of 1 year policy is applicable on the first-year premium, while the second year premium will be completely refunded. On the other hand, if cancellation is made after completion of 1 year, the 1 year policy grid will be applicable for the first year, and retention premium on the second-year premium will be calculated on annual premium without long term policy discount.

  • Can I gain any tax benefit under this health insurance plan?

    Yes, you can earn tax benefit under section 80D of the Income Tax Act.
