2. NEFT/eCMS

Policyholders having net banking facilities with their corresponding banks can transfer premium amounts electronically through NEFT/eCMS to the respective HDFC Life bank accounts (ULIP & Conventional) by adding HDFC Life as the “beneficiary”.

3. Click HDFC Net banking

HDFC account holder customers can pay the premium in 3 clicks through their HDFC net banking account. They need to “log in” to HDFC’s net banking; then click the “insurance tab”; select “HDFC Life”; click “premium payments”; and enter “policy number” and “birth date” through the preferred mode.

4. HDFC Life App

Account holders can pay premiums through HDFC Life App using any of the Payment Instruments. This App aims at achieving a dual objective of buying insurance policies as well as policy servicing

5. National Automated Clearing House (NACH)

Depending on the policyholders’ choice, these premiums will be charged from any bank account. To be presented to the HDFC branch, a cancelled cheque from the respective bank is required and the policyholder also must show an auto-debit mandate to initiate payment via the bank of his or her choice. In the transfer of funds, the MICR code listed on the cheque helps. It is generated by the HDFC Bank branch automatically.

6. My Account

You can log in to “My Account” on the HDFC Life website and pay the premium online using Net banking, Debit card, Credit card, EMI, wallets, and others. “My Account” enables you to manage policies online

7. Standing Instruction (SI)

HDFC bank account holders can opt for an auto-debit facility by issuing SIs. The premium amount would automatically be deducted on the payment deadline from the policyholder's HDFC account.

8. Credit Card Payment

If you hold an HDFC credit card, you can make payments easily. An automatic deduction is made from the credit card balance for the premium payment. In any of the HDFC Bank branches, submit the credit card details and a photocopy of the credit card for further premium payments

9. PayTM

Wallet payments have become popular among smartphone users of Android/iOS nowadays. The premium charge for HDFC Life can be paid via wallets. You can pay premiums via the Paytm App/website using net banking, cards, wallet, or UPI. You can scan the given QR Code in the Paytm app for premium payment.

10. Bharat Bill Pay (BBPS)/ Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM)

Customers can pay premiums through BBPS, BHIM-enabled internet banking, digital wallets, and mobile banking. 

11. National Securities Depository Limited

How To Pay HDFC Life Premium Offline?

Under certain circumstances, the policyholders may not be able to make premium payments online. Hence, there are different methods to pay premiums offline, which are given below.

  1. At the HDFC bank branches or HDFC life offices, you can pay your premiums by cheque and claim drafts.
  2. The premium payments are approved by many other banks and among these are branches of Axis Bank.
  3. An automatic voice (IVR) will also support you to make the premium payment, by following the directions given on the call about the payment.
  4. The best alternatives for policyholders who don't have the patience to wait in line are drop boxes.
  5. Courier and postal services are also good choices, in case you are caught in an emergency, or for some reason, you are not in your hometown.
  6. Any of the HDFC life insurance offices can be accessed by the insured to pay the premium by debit card.
  7. Policyholders can sign a cheque in the name of the “HDFC Standard Life Policy” and an HDFC agent can pick up the same cheque.
