Step 5: Pay the nominal fees.

1. Submit An Application At Your Insurer

4. Sign An Indemnity Bond
You have to sign an indemnity bond, requesting a copy of your policy document. You will require a non-judicial stamp paper for the bond. Make a declaration that you will indemnify your insurance company in case of a claim made by a third person. Get the bond affirmed before a notary and sign it in the presence of two witnesses. Submit it to your insurance provider. The insurance provider will verify the genuineness of your application and if found authentic, a duplicate policy document will be issued.
