List of Documents Needed For Bike Insurance Insurance Renewal
If you want to renew bike insurance policy with a different insurance company (other than your previous insurance provider) you would need the following documents -
- Proof of Identity
For the process of renewal, you need to produce a proof of identity document to the insurer in order to proceed further. It can be either one of the following:
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- Government-issued photo ID
- PAN Card
- Aadhar Card
- Proof of Address
The insurer will require your address proof to cross-check with your existing insurance. In case of an address change, you can notify the same to insurer with valid address proof. The address proof document can be either one of the following:
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- Government-issued address proof
- Bank or post office passbook
- Your Contact Information
During your bike insurance renewal, you will need to provide your contact information for the insurer to reach you with updates and future communication regarding any details. You will have to give details such as your name, date of birth, gender, residential address, occupation, etc.
- Passport Sized Photograph
Your insurance renewal process will require you to submit a recent passport-sized photograph to confirm your existing profile.
- Driver’s License Details
You need to submit a copy of your driver’s license to the insurance provider.
- Previous Insurance Policy Number
For the insurer’s reference, you will be required to produce the old policy number and expiry date.
- Bike’s Registration Certificate (RC)
You also need to submit a copy of your bike’s RC to the new insurance provider.
If you want to renew your bike insurance policy with your existing insurance provider, you only need to share your policy number and make the renewal payment and your bike insurance renewal is done.
