Mazi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme (Government Of Maharashtra)
This is a programme supported by the Maharashtra government that aims to aid girls in BPL households and other underprivileged groups in society. For the first five years after the girl kid is born, the mother is given Rs. 5000 each year. After then, financial assistance in the amount of Rs. 2500 per year is given to the female child till she enrols in the fifth grade. After that, till the girl is enrolled in class 12, the financial assistance is doubled to Rs. 3000 each year. When she becomes 18, she will start receiving Rs. 1 lakh a year for schooling. The girl kid may be eligible for additional payments for additional education.
