  • How many variants are available under Super Mediclaim plan?

    There exist four variants under Super Mediclaim plan. 

  • What are the names of different variants offered under Super Mediclaim plan?

    The name of four variants available under the Super Mediclaim plan are:

    • Critical Mediclaim covers a list of 32 defined critical illnesses
    • Cancer Mediclaim covers defined cancer diseases
    • Heart Mediclaim covers 16 listed heart related critical illnesses
    • Operation Mediclaim covers all specified surgical procedures
  • What is the age criteria to get coverage under Super Mediclaim plan by Religare?

    The minimum age of the proposer should be 18 years or above, while there is no age limit to get covered under the plan. However, Children can get covered from 91 days to 4 years if at least one member of their family of age 18 years or above is covered under the plan on family floater basis. On the other hand, kids up to 5 years are covered under the plan on an individual basis.

  • What are the relations that are allowed to get covered under the plan?

    Relationships that are covered under the policy include self, legally married spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, grandson, granddaughter, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, employee or any other relationship having an insurable interest.

  • How many persons together can be covered under the plan?

    Maximum up to 6 persons are allowed to be covered under an individual basis plan. 

  • Does Super Mediclaim plan offer coverage for OPD expenses?

    Yes, Religare understands the importance of coverage related to medicines, OPD consultations, and diagnostics as they can impact your monetary soundness. Hence, the plan offers coverages up to a specified amount for some out-patient care services during the policy year, which are as follows -

    (a) Out-patient consultations
    (b) Diagnostic examinations
    (c) Pharmacy-related expenses

  • Is there any additional benefit provided with under the Super Mediclaim plan?

    Yes, the Super Mediclaim policy provides several optional benefits which can be opted either at the start of the policy or during the time of renewal. The list of such add-on features are:

    1. Deductible Option
    2. Co-Payment Option
    3. Unlimited Automatic Recharge
    4. International Second Opinion
    5. Room Rent Modification
    6. Air Ambulance Cover
    7. Reduction of PED Wait Period
    8. Additional Sum Insured for Accidental Hospitalisation

  • What is the initial waiting period applicable under this plan?

    The initial waiting period is of 90 days. It means a claim for any medical-related expenses incurred for treatment of any illness during the first 90 days from the policy period start date shall not be admissible, except the medical costs incurred due to an accident within the policy period.

  • Does Super Mediclaim plan provide the coverage for an annual health check-up?

    Yes, health check-up is offered annually from 2nd policy year on continuous coverage basis.

  • Can I get any discount or bonus for not requesting any claim for a year or two or more?

    Yes, No Claim Bonus (NCB) is offered for not availing any claim. The bonus will be of 50%/25%/25% for a corresponding increase in the Sum Insured (SI) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd consecutive claim-free policy years respectively. Maximum bonus is given for up to 100% of the SI. Also, 50%/25%/25% and a corresponding decrease in SI per policy year are applicable if a claim has been paid, however, such decrease is only in SI accrued as NCB.
