  • When is the health check-up available under the plan?

    Free health check-ups are available under Religare Assure every year.

  • Is there any provision for free-look cancellation?

    Yes, the policy provides policyholders a period of 15 days after buying the policy for cancelling it if they like. 
     

  • Does the premium payable for the plan qualify for tax deductions?

    Yes, premiums paid towards Religare Assure are allowed as a deduction under Section 80 up to Rs. 25,000.

  • What are the sum insured options available under the plan?

    The plan offers various sum insured options which are Rs. 5 Lakh, Rs. 10 Lakh, Rs. 15 Lakh, Rs. 20 Lakh, Rs. 30 Lakh, Rs. 50 Lakh, Rs. 75 Lakh and Rs. 1 Crore.

  • What is the eligibility criterion to buy the policy?

    To buy Religare’s Assure, the minimum entry age is 18 years, and the maximum entry age is 65 years. 

  • Is there a grace period for renewing the policy?

    If you miss paying the renewal premium by the policy due date, a grace period of 30 days is allowed for paying the renewal premium. If you pay the premium within the grace period, the policy coverage will continue uninterrupted.

  • Is pre-entrance medical screening required to buy the policy?

    The requirement of pre-entrance medical check-up depends on the insured’s age and the sum insured opted for. If the insured is up to 45 years of age, and the sum insured is also up to Rs. 10 Lakh, no pre-entrance medical screening would be required. However, if the insured is aged more than 45 years and/or the sum insured is also more than Rs. 10 Lakh, pre-entrance medical screening would become mandatory.

  • Who pays for the pre-entrance medical screening if it is required before buying the policy?

    The cost of pre-entrance medical screening would be borne by the insurance company itself if the policy is accepted by the company post such tests.

  • What is child education benefit?

    If the insured dies in an accident or becomes totally and permanently disabled due to an accident, the insurance company pays an additional 10% of the sum insured as child education benefit. This benefit is paid so that the insured’s child’s education expenses can be met.

  • Are health check-ups and medical second opinion inbuilt under the plan?

    Yes, the coverage benefit of annual free health check-ups and free second opinion in case of critical illness are both inbuilt in the plan itself.
