How to Make Navi Cashless Bike Insurance Claim?

Navi General Insurance has a simple process to initiate the bike insurance claim settlement process. The policyholders can make a claim request by following the below steps:

Step 1: Contact Navi General Insurance

To initiate the claim settlement process, the policyholder should intimate the insurer within 24 hours of the accident, theft, or any damage to the bike. You can contact Navi General Insurance by calling at 1800 123 0004 or by mailing at mycare@navi.com or through the mobile app or by visiting the branch. It is recommended to click photos of the accidental damages and try to get some witnesses as proof.

Step 2: Register a Claim

The company’s executive will get back to you after your intimation about the claim. You should submit the policy number and the required details and documents of accident or mishap or any other incident. The executive will give you a claim registration number that you should save for further use.

Step 3: Survey of Damages

A company surveyor might be sent to assess the extent of the damages incurred by the bike during the accident. Submit the duly filled claim form, policy documents and proofs like contact details of witnesses, vehicle registration number of the third party in case of third party plan, etc., to surveyor with which he will estimate the repair cost. After this, you can take your bike to the garage.

Step 4: Claim Settlement

After making the assessment for all the aspects, the company surveyor gives the approval for claim settlement. Then the insurance provider will pay all the expenses of repair of the insured’s bike to the garage. The amount of claim to be paid will be computed after taking deductibles and depreciation value into consideration.

How To Make Navi Reimbursement Bike Insurance Claim?

Navi General Insurance allows its policyholders to get reimbursement for the expense of repair of the insured’s scooter or bike if it is repaired in a non-network garage. The policyholder can undergo the reimbursement process by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Contact Navi General Insurance

The insurance company should be intimated immediately after the theft, accident or any damage to the bike. You can intimate a reimbursement claim by calling their toll-free number 1800 123 0004 or by mailing at mycare@navi.com or through the mobile app or by visiting the nearest branch of the insurance company.

Step 2: Register a Claim

The customer executive of the insurance company will get in touch with you after the claim intimation. You have to inform the executive about the policy number and details about the accident. The executive will tell you about the process and give you a claim registration number, which you should save for later use.

Step 3: Survey of the Damages Incurred

After registering the claim request, a surveyor is sent by the insurance company to the location of the accident or mishap to inspect the extent of the damages incurred by the insured bike due to the collision. After the examination of damage, you can move your bike to a garage for repair.

Step 4: Repair and Reimbursement

After repair, you have to submit original bills and receipts of repair to your insurance company along with policy documents and other required documents to make the request for the reimbursement claim. The insurer will verify the documents and details and then disburses the claim amount after considering the deductibles and depreciation.

Common Navi Bike Insurance Claim Rejection Reasons

Navi General Insurance has some standards which every policyholder needs to follow to get the claim settled. The insurance provider can reject the claim under different situations such as:

  • Act of negligence
  • Misinterpretation of facts
  • Registration of a fraud claim
  • Lack of details required to process the claim
  • Delay in intimation about the mishap to the insurer
  • Driving without a licence or under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs.

Navi No Claim Bonus

Among the several benefits of purchasing a Navi two-wheeler insurance, the NCB offered their own-damage covers for every claim-free year. Own-damage covers offer protection for a wide range of situations and in the years that you make no claims offer you returns in the form of the No Claim Bonus. This reward is given to the policyholder for every claim-free year and is cumulative in nature. The NCB amount increases with every consecutive claim-free year, reaching its maximum in the fifth claim-free year. If however, the policyholder files a claim the NCB will be disabled for that year. Hence, to avoid the loss of the NCB, policyholders are asked to file for two-wheeler insurance claims only when the damage from a mishap is significant and is higher than the NCB.

To keep the No Claim Bonus intact insurance holders are required to keep up their insurance renewals in a timely manner. In case of delays, the accumulated NCB will become invalid. In our busy day to day lives, it is easy to forget the expiry date of the insurance policy and hence, forget to renew on time. To mitigate the losses in such situations insurance companies offer their customers a grace period. They can still renew their two-wheeler insurance after 90 days of the expiry date. However, if there are any delays after this period both the insurance policy and the NCB are cancelled. If the policyholder wants to shift to a different insurance provider or sell their two-wheeler to purchase a new one the NCB will not be lost. Since the reward is given for safe driving it is attached to the policyholder rather than the policy or the two-wheeler. In such situations, the NCB is simply transferred to the new policy with no hassles.
