National Insurance Company Ltd. (NIC) is one of the oldest general insurance companies in India, which offers bike insurance plans and other related insurance covers. Purchasing third party insurance for your two-wheeler is compulsory in India according to the Motor Tariff. If caught without valid third party insurance you can be punished with a fine of Rs. 2,000 and/or be imprisoned for up to 3 months.
